AnJie Lawyers Serve as Judges in Price Media Law Moot

Recently, the Asia-Pacific round of the 2016 Price Media Law Moot Competition was held atRenmin University of China (RUC), for which AnJie lawyers Mr. Cui Yi and Ms. Lv Pei served as judges.

The judging panel also included Ms. Zhang Lingling, a judge from the Beijing Intellectual Property court; Mr. Wu Shenkuo, associate professor of Beijing Normal University College for Criminal LawScience and School of Law; Mr. Jin Haijun, associate professor of the Law School and Intellectual Property Academy of Renmin University of China; as well as Mr. Zhao Luoxi, lecturerfor theDepartment of Diplomacy and foreign affairs management at the China Foreign Affairs University. 

Entrusted by Oxford University, the Monroe E. Price Media Law Moot Court Competition Asia-Pacific Round was collectively organized by theRenmin University ofChina Law School, Asia-Pacific Institute of Law, and Civil and commercial law research center. Established under the Program in Comparative Media Law & Policy at the University of Oxford in 2008, the Price Media Law Moot Court Program aims to foster and cultivate interest in freedom of expression issues and the role of the media and information technologies in societies around the world.The annual Price Moot Court Competition challenges students to engage in comparative research of legal standards at the national, regional and international levels, and to develop their arguments (in written and oral forms) on cutting-edge questions in media and ICT law. The Competition is currently comprised of five Regional Rounds (South Asia, Asia-Pacific, South East Europe,North East Europe, the Middle East and the Americas) and the selective International Rounds held in Oxford, gather participants from countries as diverse as Australia, Belgium, Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, Greece, India, Lebanon, the Philippines, Serbia, Trinidad and Tobago, Ukraine, the UK and the USA.
