Over the past decade, China's foreign direct investment has achieved continuous growth, and in 2015, it reached USD 145.67 billion, ranking second in the world for the first time. At the same time, based on the scale and speed of Chinese enterprises “outward-facing” strategy, it has reached a record high, magnifying the issues and risks that it encompasses. In order to help Chinese enterprises establish a good image overseas, and improve the ability to comprehensivelycope with and improve the prevention of risks, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce (SMCOC) held a series of training courses, including an overseas investment legal practice class, new generation IT overseas investment practice class, the Belt and Road investment cooperation practice class, and a transnational M&A practice class.
